Hi,
I would like recommendations on where to stay in Honfleur, France. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
We stayed at the Etap hotel which is maybe a 5 minute walk to the main town. Etap is an economy hotel and the rooms are small but clean and the rates are good.
We stayed at the Hotel Monet, a Rick pic. Since we were driving a car, it offered us a good location, a few blocks up the hill from the center of town. We had tried to get reservations at one Rick's B&B's pics in town, but it was full. When we walked by it looked beautiful. Wat ever you do, eat at the waterside restaurants. Lots to pick from; many with great prices. And, they are especially wonderful @ Bfast.
We stayed at the Hotel Du Dauphine - recommended in the Rick Steves' book. It was a good location, and the people INCREDIBLY nice and helpful. My husband was hospitalized while there and without their amazing help, I don't know how we would have made it home.
We also stayed at Hotel Monet and enjoyed it. Breakfast included and the hosts were very kind. We chose it because of the available parking. But, it is a bit of walk from town. Not too bad though. If we ever return, I would choose to stay at a B&B in town since street parking a few minutes away was available. Have fun!
