Hello,
We are going to spend our honeymoon in Spain (mid-October), starting with Barcelona. Any recommendations on hotel? We want something nice, especially since this will be our first stop, but also do not want to blow our budget.

You could try booking.com, they have a good choice of hotels and plenty of info (including guest reviews). I've booked with them many times.

Hotel La Cathederal, near the main Cathederal is very nice...stayed there a couple of years ago..good staff and good location.

Hi Tony - After a number of times in Barcelona I would strongly suggest - http://www.royalramblashotel.com/en/home/
Located directly on Las Ramblas it is an excellent Hotel with perfect location.At either end of Las Ramblas you can hop on an open air bus and see the highlights of Barcelona, getting off and back on as often as you like. A Fantastic City with so much to see and do!!! In the old port there is an excellent Aquarium and , of course , the sidewalk Cafes, Street Performers, and Artists on Las Ramblas will fascinate you. Also, be sure to see Europe's number one Market(fruit, vegetable, and meat) La Boqueria - a few hundred yards from the front door of The Hotel.
