Honeymoon Hotels in Paris?

Hello everybody, My fiance and I are planning our honeymoon in France and have booked all of our lodging except for our final week, which is being spent in Paris. I've read through Rick's newest Paris guidebook and haven't been able to find a hotel that fits a few of our ideal requirements so thought I'd post here and see what y'all had to say. The few things that we'd like to find: A left bank location Room with a terrace/terrace with a view
A little luxury is nice :) We aren't looking for modern (we're in Paris no?) and we'd be just as happy in a family run hotel as a major brand. Thanks in advance for all of your tips! ~ joel

Joel, I don't know how much luxury you are looking for but we stayed at the Hotel de Buci years ago and according to their website it has only improved since then. I think it meets your criteria and would be perfect for a honeymoon in Paris.

I'd look in a different guidebook if you do not see what you want.

Joel this hotel is not left bank, but right across from the Tuilleries garden, and the Louvre, and the "Tuilleries View rooms" are very nice,, but more importantly they have little balconys with lovely views of the Tuilleries, Louvre, and in the distance the Eiffel Tower,, which as you may know lights up on the hour( in the evening) for 10 minutes, its beautiful to stand on your balcony and see that . On the left bank, if I could afford it, I would stay at the Hotel Aubusson, no views but excellant location.

Joel,, RS does not really feature alot for honeymooners, mostly us middle aged middle class travellers( which is fine, but just saying) so I would definately go check out the tripadvisor.com Paris forums, they are much busier then this one, and have posters from all over, plus a few locals and expat post there and are very helpful. I have used that forum for years , and booked at least 8 or 9 hotels from either the reviews or postings. Good luck and happy honeymoon. Pat

Joel - I would try the Hotel des Grandes Ecoles - left bank, romantic.
