HomeAway Paris apartment rental

Family trip to Paris in September and trying to find apartments. Was wondering if anyone has experience with HomeAway, and would you recommend them. Any help is most appreciated!

We had a very good experience renting a place in Montparnasse through Homeaway last spring, for nine nights. We've also used them several times in the US. Happy to share more if you want to contact.

We used them in Nice. Apartment was exactly as described. Be careful and do not assume anything that is not in the pictures or in the description. I did not notice that the bed was on a shelf above the living room. Being old, climbing up stairs to go to bed and back down them in the middle of the night to pottie was not an experience I wish to do again. However, the pictures did show the bed on the balcony, so it was my fault for not paying attention. The price was right otherwise. Again, look and read before buying.

I used homeaway.com to rent an apartment in Verona. It is similar to vrbo.com, where you rent directly from the owner.

This apartment is from the sister website of Homeaway... it is VRBO : http://www.vrbo.com/121794 We stayed here (5 people) for 1 week in 2009 year and loved absolutely EVERYTHING about it! You would not regret staying here, and the price is very good. If you have any specific questions, let me know. Also, I have rented from Homeaway.com as well with great results.

Thanks to all who have replied! I am so impressed by the willingness of the people on this site to take the time to help each other. Carl, that is a great deal for the apartment, but my family has their heart set on staying in the seventh. There are six of us and I have found it to be a little more difficult than anticipated to find the right lodging. There are no young children, and the two single grandchildren are of opposite sex, so I have not been able to find the correct sleeping arrangements we need in one apartment, so decided two apartments might work better. This led to expanding my search to other sites, and my anxiety about which were trustworthy.
Still haven't found what we need, but feel better about it now. Grandmothers worry about everything....LOL. Any other suggestions any of you want to offer, please do!

Has anyone had any experiences with "Parisian Home" rentals We are thinking about using them, but I'm researching them and haven't found anything on the company.
