Holy Week in Portugal

Is this a good time to go or is it very crowded and difficult to travel during Holy Week in Portugal? We are planning a trip and thought Portugal would be fun but just realized our dates are during Holy Week. Any advice?

In Spain they really celebrate Easter holy week, but the Portuguese actually have one holiday; Easter day (always on a sunday) so life doesn't get disrupted.

We spent the XMass holidays in Portugal a couple of years ago, and had no problems doing our usual tourist explorations (though many tourist destinations were closed on XMass day.)

You may want to explore Braga during that week (53 kilos from Porto), because they have some neat processions, and they really decorate the place.

We rented a car for our explorations of Portugal, and found the freeways to be new, and never crowded.

When we were in the Algarve, the water was warm enough for us to enjoy wading.
