Has anyone visited the Hohenloh area which is not a part of Detmold, Germany? Was there a village or town in this Hohenloh prior to the 1930s? Has anyone found a Hohenloh in another part of Germany or in surrounding countries?

Not quite sure of your question "Was there a village or a town...?" There is an area called Hohenlohekreis (www.hohenlohekreis.de) northeast of Stuttgart, near Schwäbisch Hall. I don't see an actual village called Hohenlohe. Kreis (rhymes with price, Gr. for circle) is the equivalent of our vicinity. Often if they want to include all the little villages around a larger town, they use the word Kreis to indicate more than just the main town.
One of the villages in Hohenlohekreis is Künzelsau, from which my g.g.grandparents emigrated around 1850.
