My family of 11 are planning a trip to tour Southern Germany in May and would like to know if anyone has ever hired a car and driver? I have done this in other countries and had good experiences. We would be starting in Munich.

Julie, If all of your group of 11 will be touring, you'll likely need to hire a small Bus or Minivan and Driver, which could be "pricey". Hopefully someone here will have some information on this.

A good place to start might be SMS - Salzburg Mietwagen Service, which advertises on its website "all transfer services". I have taken thier mini-bus transfer from Munich airport to Salzburg Hbf, and it was really fast and convenient. If they can't help you, maybe they can find someone who can.
