I would like to get discounted tickets on the Renfe website, which I know are available 60 days before travel dates. Is there anyway to get an English version of the site? After the first screen, it goes to Spanish, in spite of the box on the left with the drop-down that offers English as a choice of "idiom". Any help in navigating this site would be very much appreciated. Thank you!
They seem to have eliminated English from the ordering page but it's not difficult to follow. Ida y vuelta is return, ida is one-way. Days on the calendar begin with Mondays, not Sundays. On the payment page, they will ask for ID (Tipo de documento)....select Passaporte and use your passport number. Nombre is your first name, appellido 1 is your last name, codigo postal is zip code, poblacion is city/town, provincia is state. Paradoxically, you'll find the US listed under the U's, but as Estados Unidos. You'll print your tickets at home.
A reminder that the tickets start on sale at midnight of the 62nd day....so backtime and you should be able to find the new fares by about 8 pm the evening before, your time.
For any other words you need help with, try translate.google.com or similar sites.
