Help with my Barcelona itinerary!

I’m hoping to get some feedback on my Barcelona itinerary. We will only be spending 3 nights in Barcelona, and I’m coming to find there are a LOT of sights I’m interested in seeing (especially Gaudi and other amazing buildings) - so I’m trying to plan it out in a logical way. I’m not really certain how long each site will take, so I’m open to feedback on if I am underestimating/overestimating how much I can fit into a day. Thanks in advance!

Friday:

Arrive at airport at 12:30 PM (Aerobus to Placa de Catalunya; check into hotel)
Quick lunch/street food somewhere
Block of Discord 3-5 PM (want to go inside the buildings)
Casa Mila 7-8 PM
Dinner

Saturday

Explore Las Ramblas, La Bouqeria, and Palau Guell 9-1 (Lunch at Pinoxto or El Quim in La Bouqeria)
Sagrada Familia 3-5 PM (Planning to make a reservation for 3 PM and picking up tickets when I get there)
Parc Guell 6-8
Dinner
Walk Las Ramblas at night

Sunday

Explore the Bari Gothic 9-12
Lunch
EITHER: Picasso Museum and Chocolate Museum or Shoe Museum…. Or Montjuic (I can’t decide and would appreciate feedback and your impressions or preference!!)
Tapas dinner in Bari Gothic

Any input on whether or not I am designating enough time for these sites would be very appreciated! Am I missing anything cool? Thank you!

Jenny, here's my 2 day tour of BCN recommendation: http://quia-absurdum.com/barcelona/two_days.html. Personally, I'd go for lunch in the Plaza Real, just off of the Ramblas. (The lamps in the plaza were Gaudi's first commission.) I'd recommend the restaurant that has the walls covered with ferns. (It has an Italian or French name, not "Taxadermista". Sorry, I don't remember what its name is.) The food is good, modern re-versioned Spanish traditional, and the price is quite acceptable. The terrace is a treat at almost any time of year.

Thanks Adynata! I really appreciate your reply. I have colored in on my map your suggestion of Placa Real (though on my map is says Placa Reial, near Palau Guell.. I think that's the same thing). I am having such a hard time narrowing down restaurants in Barcelona - there are so many that look good!

Also, after looking at your suggestions, I think I will spend my previously undecided half day up at Montjuic - which after looking at it's inclusion on your itineray of a 1-2 day stay I am more confident can be done in only an afternoon. Thanks again!

A must see for me visiting Barcelona would be to go up the mountain to Montserrat...

Jenny, remember that Barcelona is a bilingual city. I tend to prefer Spanish to Catalan, and therefore use "Plaza Real" rather than "Plaça Reial". It is a tomato/tomatoe sort of thing, and anybody of whom you ask directions will understand you with either pronunciation.

As far as fun restaurants go, you might also check out Can Culleretes (http://www.culleretes.com/) an 18th century place that has stayed open due mostly to good food (and the hard work of what appears to be the original staff. They're getting a bit creaky, but are friendlier than many Catalan waiters.) The restaurant is close to the cathedral and Las Ramblas. (I should probably add it to my map.)

Montjuic is pretty, but not spectacular. As a stroll, starting in the port and winding up on the mountain is a nice way to spend half a day. Have a great trip. Let me know if you need specific help.
