I've already read some valuable info on this board, but I'd love some really specific help with our itinerary. We'll be traveling to Spain for 2 weeks in late Sept./early Oct., flying into Madrid and out of Barcelona. Our itinerary is shaping up to be: 3 days in Madrid, fly to Granada, rent a car, and spend a night or two, drive through the White Hill Towns and spend a night or two, end drive in Seville, drop car, spend a couple of days there, and then fly North to Basque Country, end with a few days in Barcelona. Does this sound like a good plan? My specific questions are, is the flight from Madrid to Granada a good idea? I haven't seen much written about it, but it seems to make sense over a long train ride. We would take the AVE from Madrid to Seville and go that route to Granada, but Seville has non-stop flights north, and if we fly out of Granada, we have to stop over in Barcelona. Is renting the car in Granada and dropping it in Seville easy enough?
Thanks in advance!
Dolly
I am planning a trip to Spain in the fall also. I haven't rented the car yet, but have been watching prices on the Auto Europe site (which I have used several times) and Kemwell. I plan to pick up the car in Granada and drop it off in Sevilla. From the websites, it looks to be very easy to do that.
I also plan to fly from Madrid to Granada, but directly from Dallas when we arrive....
It looks like we have some similar trip ideas in mind!
