Can anyone help with this? Date of travel is 8/29. Tried the Alsa link and it showed a route, but nowhere to buy the tickets!!!
Although you're looking for bus, have you considered a plane? Tap Air flies directly from Lisbon to Sevilla. We did this in early April. Right now the price is ridiculous, but we ran into this too. With a little patience, it dropped down to under $100/pp.
Thanks for that thought, Steve. Will look. But in Rick's book it says you can do a bus, I found the route and charge, but nowhere to buy tickets???
Some years ago, maybe in 2000, we did the Lisbon to Sevilla bus trip. You buy the tickets at the station. No need to get them 6 weeks in advance. If you're worried about availability, I suggest you ask at your Lisbon hotel; but I really don't think there's likely to be any problem with same day purchase.
Thanks, Roslyn, that is good to know. I appreciate these help lines where we can share info!
Cheryl...it's a little complicated, but if you go to the Alsa website, click on "Routes and schedules" and then "International Services," you should be able to proceed with the sale. Why they don't make it so accessible from the first webpage, I don't know. They do offer discounts if you book ahead on the web, but there are conditions, so check them first.
Thanks, Norm. I will look into your suggestion. I tried initially, but got nowhere. Will use your hint.
holey cow! Tap is quite expensive right now...610 Euro for 3, R/T (I took the time to look it pu because we're facing the same transport problem for our trip in October).
We have decided to take the train from Sevilla to Madrid, stay the night in Madrid and catch a plane the following day into Lisboa. Still alittle confusing, but we're traveling w/ a 4yr old, so this is better than a long bus ride! Anyway, Vueling had flights from Madrid to Lisbon for 39 euros. Still, we'll probably keep an eye on Tap out of Sevilla. Unfortunately, Vueling doesn't fly direct from Sevilla to Lisboa...
Good luck!
Woops! 610 ONE WAY!!! Not R/T!
