I would wonder why do Toledo in between Barcelona and Sevilla? I'd recommend going straight from Barcelona to Sevilla, then catch Toledo at the end when you are around Madrid. To that end, you could also fly from Barcelona to Sevilla much faster and as cheap as the AVE. You might also consider going to Granada first, then Sevilla, then Toledo and Madrid. The time in each is short but ok. Sevilla can be filled with the Alcazar, the Cathedral, strolling, shops, and flamenco at night.

Toledo works just fine between Barcelona and Sevilla, especially if you want a shorter travel time that day. We did the same trip, in the same order of travel, last year and were pleased with how smooth it was. And happy that we did not have any internal flights and airport hassles. As for whether you are trying to fit in too much, I would say not, although it looks like you may be planning to not reserve in advance for Sagrada Familia so may encounter long lines. Or maybe not if you go late in the day. You might consider heading to Parc Guell after Sagrada Familia, assuming you are on your way by 6:30 or so. (How late is Parc Guell open? I did not check). The Gaudi path + bus combination that is described in Rick's book leaves you off at the side entrance, near the top, and you can walk down and then return by bus to Placa Catalunya.

Thanks, Lola and Douglas. Lola: Yes, I did this intinerary similarly based on yours from previous threads since it covers all the places I wanted to go. I have all hotels reservations done but now I'm starting to buy train tickets. My concern about Barcelona and Toledo is because my wife added Parc Guel and Picasso Museum which I did not envision to go first. My requirements about Barcelona are Sagrada Familia, Ramblas walk , Cathedral, Santa Maria del Mar and Barri Gothic streets. One afternoon, a full day and one morning I'm starting to think is to short? I thought of Parc Guel first day to just get it out of the way, but might be wiser to do it with Sagrada Familia. As far as Toledo, lots of people only go for a day trip. Since I will be arriving at 16;00 hrs and leaving the next day later. Maybe is ok since I only want to see the cathedral, take the hop on/off train and walk in the medieval streets of Toledo and take pictures. (no more museums unless it is must) Questions: 1. for the barcelona full day would it be better do Picasso Museum morning and Sagrada Familia + Parc Guel in the afternoon? or backwards. 2. In Toledo for the next day. how late should I plan to leave? I need check out by 12:00 and I'm thinking about leaving town no later than 3:00 pm (would that be enough for Toledo visit? 3. Or I could also change plans like Douglas suggests and fly from bcn-granada, then sevilla, and leave Toledo for last when I'm in Madrid. (Problem with that is that I would need to cancel and re-reserve rooms and might not be available
in some cases)
