help, Lake Como & Bernese Oberland

Prior to a Rhine River Golf trip, my husband and I would like to see a few other places. We are flying to Milan and hope to see "the Last Supper" and continue on to Lake Como area. Is two days enough for Como? Then we plan to go on to the Bernese Oberland for 3 days prior to taking the Golden Pass to Montreux and Evian, France where we meet our group. Any help or suggestions for either area will be greatly appreciated. We will be doing all travel by train. Thanks.

Right. I mainly mentioned the Luzern route in case they wanted to stop there for one night of their three.

There are direct trains from Como San Giovanni to Luzern, taking 3.5 hours. From there it is another 2.5 hours to Lauterbrunnen, traveling on the Golden Pass route as far as Interlaken. Total time is a little over 6 hours (6:18).

If you want to get there faster, you can save an hour by going via Milan, with several train changes. Total time is a little over 5 hours (5:11 to 5:13).

Do you have an idea where you would like to stay in the Berner Oberland?

Our train leaving Milan to Lucerne was 2 1/2 hours late. It was a good thing that we chose to sleep in Lucerne as we would not have made the train to Lauterbrunnen.
