will supplemental medicare health insurance cover you in Europe
Some do, some don't, and most are somewhat limited. Mine covers emergency room visits (as 'out of network') but not much else so I'm taking out a travel med insurance that covers most everything including emeregency medical transportation (flight home if necessary). Check your supplemental policy or call your supplier.
This is a great site with a lot of helpful information from a lot of helpful people, but no one is going to be able to give you an answer to an insurance question because just about every company/policy is unique to the insured. You need to read over your policy and/or call your insurance carrier. This is just too important a question to get an answer from a message board, as the Nancy mentioned, travel medical insurance, it may be the way to go.
Like Nancy says, it depends on what "plan" you choose for your supplement. This document shows which supplement plans cover care in foreign countries, and which plans don't: http://www.medicare.gov/Publications/Pubs/pdf/02110.pdf
