Hotel Chopin is FANTASTIC! I am staying there again this June. It's so quaint that you can't believe it! However, it's not extremely modern or comparable to American style hotels. So if that's something you don't like, it's probably not for you. But if you like quintessentially French things, it's perfect!!! En plus, it's located in the Passage Jouffroy which is now a landmark.
Suggest you check reviews for these hotels on Trip Advisor. On your other thread, you mention looking for a budget hotel. Have you considered staying in an Ibis Hotel. Low cost, good locations and they are nice hotels. We stayed in the one near Gare d' Nord and found it to be just right for us.
