Has anyone used Golden Air for transport from CDG to Paris?

I will be traveling with my daughter to Paris next week and need transportation from CDG to Monmarte? Has anyone used Golden Air as Steves reccommends?

We have used all the shuttle services and Golden Air is the worst.Any of the other ones are better... we take a cab.

We used blue van year before last and they were there when they said they would be and did what they said they would do.

Have you looked into the bus. Great way to see Paris the first day.

There is a discussion below about taking the bus.

You could also take the train to Gare de North and transfer to a bus or cab.

We took the Rosie (sp) bus to Opera and then walked to our Etap Hotel on Rue Dr. Babinski. It is a fairly long walk. You might want to take a bus from Opera. Get a bus map and look.

Forget about the train and the buses. If you have the extra money take a cab. I was in Paris a few weeks ago and airport transfers are the worst. The metro system is great but if you are like me you want to get to your hotel quickly, get your luggage into your room and then start sight seeing.

Totally concur with the last poster. We just got back from France. After a longgggg flight (transferred in Frankfurt), I promised my wife we would take a taxi. It cost around 40 euros to the 18th arr., which I consider pretty darn good since the cheapest shuttle I could find was about 18-19 euros per person. No wait to drop off fellow passengers, too!

Denise,
My husband & I returned from Paris on 27 Sept. We used Golden Air & were very pleased. I booked a "shared van" but maybe no one else had booked at our arrival & departure time, so we had a private car from the airport & a private taxi that picked us up from the hotel back to the airport. It worked well for us. The confirmation from Golden Air gave us a phone # to call when we got our luggage so the driver could tell us which door he was waiting at. I used my cell phone & got a recording in French, so we stopped at a Lufthansa desk by the luggage carousels & they called for us & told us which door. He was right there with a sign with our names & it was a very relaxing ride to the hotel. He pointed out a few landmarks on our ride and was very professional. We would use them again. Mimi
