I used airfare.com and will never do so again! I bought a ticket from San Francisco to Istanbul, with a stop in Munich in between. the layover was 40 mins, which was perfect for me! However, 40 mins was too short according to the airlines, hence they wanted airfare.com to change my flight. They did this, all without telling me and put me to a flight that would cause me to wait in Munich for 9 hours! When I called airfare.com, I was not treated professionally at all. My guess is that the customer service department is only a few people all sitting in one room. There were people talking on the background all the time. They kept on blaming the airlines for this mess. Never mind that it is airfare.com that sold me the ticket at the first place, they should know better that 40 mins is too short of a wait and they should have never sold me that ticket. So airfare.com said they will fix this but despite my numerous calls, they never did. So I filed a complaint through BBB. No more airfare.com

Thanks for the reply. I went with my gut feeling. After checking out a zillion websites, calling and doing alot of research, I could tell from the good and the bad. Airfare quoted me a really good price but the guy was pushy. WHen I called other places, they pretty much quoted me, tried to work with me and that's it. This guy was like a salesman on a used car. I would not go with airfare. Cheaptickets quoted me a good price and so did nwa.com. Good luck everyone out there. Thanks so much for the reply

I have read all of the bad airfare.com stories, too. From what I learned it seems that the people who have to "change" something about my their tickets are the ones who have the problems. I have traveled to Europe many times and I've never had to change anything about the flight. You figure out where you want to go, you verify the flight times before you buy it, and be done with it.

I just purchased from airfare.com because it was 50% of the regular fare. I chose flights with plenty of time between each leg. I've had no problem.
