Has anyone travelled with Elderhostel?

I skimmed through a brochure at the library and online (elderhostel.org). I would like to hear feedback about their tours if you have any first hand knowledge. THANKS

My sister, who is 85, has traveled with Elderhostel for years. Both domestic and foreign. Since she is a widow, she travels in groups her age.

Her experiences have always been positive and she raves about how well they plan their tours. When I quit traveling independently I will consider using their service.

I have never taken an Elderhostel trip but heard 100% recommendations from the many people with whom I spoke when in Europe this past year. And, these people were seasoned travellers and overall pretty sharp folks. Seems Elderhostel puts the accent on educational so if that's OK with you it could be a good bet. And by the way, they were all much younger than the image I had conjured based on the name. When I told a 70ish couple that at 58 I thought I was a few years away, they merely smiled sweetly and nodded "no".
