Has anyone taken tours of the Château's in the Loire Valley?
I guess you can take a train to Tours to catch an all tour with ACCO-DISPO .
I just wonder if they are good?
On top of the tour price of 50 euros for the all day tour they want you to help pay for parking and road tolls?
Is it better to take the all day tour or half day tour?

Stew I first heard about the acco dispo tours on anothre forum, ( tripadvisor.com) so may be check out their french forums if no one answers here. What I recall reading was positive, but, I haven't seen anything lately.
We took a tour with Acco-Dispo several years ago and had a great experience. The thing with paying for the parking and the tolls is a new one on me. Although, from what I remember, there were no tolls and the parking at all of the chateau's was free.
Two years ago, my husband and I took one of their half day tours and it was fine. We went to the tourist office in Tours and booked it. I don't know where you are taking the train from to Tours. We were already in Tours. So you may want to prebook.
I just returned from France for two wonderful and different weeks - one hitting the sites in Paris and the Loire and one doing absolutely nothing on the beaches of the the South of France. I took two separate tours with ACCO-DISPO in the Loire and both were conducted by the affable and wonderful driver, Pascal. He gave us the necessary histories of the chateauxs we were visiting, but did it in an entertaining way. Both of my trips were 1/2 day trips, one from Tours and one from Amboise. At the end of those tours, he drove me back to the opposite city from where everyone else was. Though the entrance fees to the chateauxs are not included in the price, you do get the group rate and its very well organized. I could not recommend ACCO-DISPO enough. The next time, AND THERE WILL BE A NEXT TIME, I will make sure to use them form my Loire Chateau tour needs!
