My 14-year old daughter and I will be in Munich at the end of March and are considering staying in a youth hostel called Burg Schwaneck just south of Munich. I'd love some input from anyone who has stayed there before....

I was at this hostel about 10 years ago, and it was in sad repair. HOWEVER, I've been reading on the hostels webpages about the renovations (completed in 2006) done there, and if they are anything like the other German hostel renovations, I'm sure the place is in fantastic shape now. The new German hostels are really much more like hotels than what the word hostel brings to mind. They tend to cater to families nowadays, with the emphasis on "cater". I've stayed in a lot of German hostels, and based on what I've read, I wouldn't hesitate to stay at Schwaneck again. Some photos:
