Has anyone had a Zurich Card delivered to their home via post?

Hi - has anyone purchased a Zurich Card and had it delivered to the US via post? We are purchasing a Swiss Pass (4 day consecutive) and a Zurich Card (we will be in Switzerland 5 days...and this works out best price-wise). I'm considering purchasing over the internet and having sent to my house (free). How long does it take? Thanks in advance.

My experience has been that most hotels in Swiss cities give their guests a free municipal transit pass for the duration of their stay. Check with your hotel in Zurich,if so, the card may not be worth it.

I just wanted to follow up on this. I ordered this on Saturday, and it arrived at my home in the US by the following Thursday. Very QUICK.

Stephanie, just out of interest how much did the Zurich Card cost and what does it entitle you to? As Michael says many hotels offer a free municipal transit pass, which I believe does not entitle you to travel on all trains and to all areas.

Hi, The Zurich card is for transit and free entry to museums in Zurich. We bought this primarily for the museums as we wanted to hit a few in a short period of time. I couldn't get a reasonable answer out of the hotel as to what we could expect from them. You can get a 24 hour (20 chf) or 72 hour (40 chf). My understanding is that we would need to buy a supplement ticket if we use this during the evening hours on Friday or Saturday evening (but we won't be there then...so I didn't worry about it). There's a downloadable guide at this site, to describe the free or discounted entrances. http://www.zvv.ch/en/tickets/tickets-and-prices/zuerich-card.html
