How do I get tickets for an English language tour of the grotto? I tried the hints in Rick's 2010 France book and I'm missing something!
Our experience was in the shoulder season when no English-language tours were available.
Although that was unfortunate, and I did not understand one word in ten of the French tour, it was still a highlight of our trip.
So if you somehow can't get an English tour--and I hope you can--go anyway.
Thank you both for your quick answers. I followed the advice of the first poster and already have my reservation and it is confirmed and paid for! I emailed last night and got a prompt reply this morning. Done! It is less than a month, so I feel very lucky to have been able to get the reservation on the day that I preferred. Thanks all!
we made reservations ahead from home noting we are english speaking. They sent a timed appt.. When we arrived they simply took our entrance fee, cash or credit and we were grouped w/ other english speaking tourists. Note there are steps and paths going up to cave that can be tiring for some.
