My sister and I are old in age but not spirit. We will try anything but prefer the easiest way. That being said....what would be your opinions on this hike. Should we take the bus from Grindelwald to Grosse Scheidegg and walk to First or cable car to First first and walk....etc., ?? I hope to get some interesting answers

I've been wondering the same thing. I've decided that as the cable car runs more frequently than the bus I will take the bus to Grosse Scheidegg and walk from there. I know the view will possibly not br as good. When are you planning to do this walk?

Thanks Pauline. That is an excellent point. I did read somewhere that walking towards First, the view is better...? However according to my trusty map First is higher than Grosse Scheidegg by more than 600 ft. We will be in Lauterbrunnen the second week of September....
