Hi, I was just wondering if anyone knows of any good grocery stores in Paris? Specifically any health food stores. I buy almond milk in the US and wanted to try and find it in Paris.
You will be surprised at the number of large super markets in Paris. You will have to ask someone where they are, but you will find them.
There may health food stores also. You will have to determine how to describe one to a Frenchman. If you are in a hotel, ask the concierge.
Blair: The big department stores (Galeries Lafayette , Printemps and Monoprix all have excellent grocery departments, though the word "grocery" is too mundane to describe the elegance of the displays and the varieties of goodies. There are many smaller grocery chains, too, in most of the arrondissemnts. For la creme de la creme of foodstuffs, go to Fauchon's at Place de la Madeleine. Bon appetit.
We just got back this week from Europe and did a lot of shopping at grocery stores to save money. We stayed near the Eiffel Tower and had several around us. Our hotel was on Bourdansia. You shouldn't have any trouble finding a store in Paris.
main shopping centre at gallieni metro everything you could always want in food and clothing.
Naturalia is a chain of Health food stores. http://www.naturalia.fr/ I am not sure about almond milk, but they had several gluten free food items which I was searching for. The store I went to was very near the Ecole Militaire Metro stop, near Rue Cler. The store had a good variety of items. I did see a few more locations while I was roaming around. Ask about locations of grocery stores where you are staying, they may suggest a few that might have what you need. Happy Travels.
