Does anyone have a recommondation for a hostel in berlin, i am going to be there for 5 or 6 days and am looking for a great hostel with a kitchen, breakfast social hostel with a great atmosphere in a funky area (maybe east?) does anyone know from experience? I am also 34 so I also dont want to be surrounded by kids only.

I haven't stayed in any Berlin hostels, but for the kind of atmosphere you're describing, you probably want Mitte (center) or Prenzlauer Berg (slightly northeast of the center). Kreuzberg and especially Friedrichshain are very "funky", but also quite young.
With that in mind, the Circus Hostels sound like a good option.

I recommend this property - Aurora Hostel
I will be staying there again (4th time) next weekend.
The property is in a perfect location, has a variety of lodging options and pricing. Clean - friendly.
