In 2010, I stayed in a wondrous "shabby chic" hotel, right on the Grand Place. The huge windows of my room opened right onto the plaza, and at night, the clock tower lit my room and bonged the hours. It was a noisy place, with revelers, then street cleaners, then morning delivery trucks approaching before the plaza was restored to pedestrian traffic only. I will be in Brussels again in late June to stay a couple of days, but can't remember the name of this economy hotel, and don't recognize it in any postings. Does it ring a bell (so to speak) with anybody? Thanks.
