Granada Spain and Paris in 10 days?

My parents and I are planning a trip to Granada and Paris this summer. We will be staying in Granada but will travel to Paris for 2 days. We also considered going to Tanger for a day trip. Does this sound reasonable? If so, what would you highlight as must do's on this trip? Thank you!

Granada to the closest ferry port to Morocco is close to three hours by car each way - - I don't see how it could be done in a day. Granada to Paris has got to be at least a five hour flight airport to airport, figure nine hours city center to city center. Wild guess is around five hundred bucks per person for the airfare alone. Not worth it to me.

Thanks Ed! Do you have any suggestions for us? We have been researching online and reading books but would really like to hear what others have done.

Instead of the Paris trip I would spend that time in Southern Spain and definitely do the trip to Morocco for a change of pace. It was intense, exotic and a great experience. Some other wonderful places in the south of Spain are Sevilla, Antequerra, Malaga. We took the bus to Tariffa and took the ferry to Tangiers (less than an hour, I think) and saw Gibraltar from the boat. (I was just in San Antonio a few weeks ago for a photographers convention... not my first trip there, but I love your city)

Thanks Terry for the advice. We may do just that. And thank you, San Antonio is a beautiful city. The winter weather is great here!

You need to spend some time with a map and understand the distances. Going to Paris would be nearly the same as going from San Antonio to St. Louis or Tampa. If you want to go that fly into Paris, fly to Granada and come home from Malaga. Save the expense and time of RT to Paris. In fact I would skip Paris, fly into Madrid, train to Cordoba, Sevilla, Granada, and home from Malaga. We did that same trip in 10 days last year.
