What is the best mode of transportation to the Granada airport? How much time should I allow? Flying on Vueling from Granada to Barcelona. thanks!

It probably depends a bit on where you are staying in Granada and the time of day. From where we park in Granada (about a 15 - 20 walk from the very centre) it is about a 15 - 20 min drive to the airport turn off. I would say allow 30 mins but if you are staying in a hotel, they may know better.

Without knowing where you stay, but presuming Catedral area or Albaicin - €25-30 by taxi, 30 minutes perhaps, but as advised by Liz, depending on traffic. Bus service - http://www.autocaresjosegonzalez.com/index.php/en/services/bus-granada-spain-airport.html - but the times should be checked with the posting at the bus stop.
