Got Ticket! Help for part one "Trip to Provence"

I have finally bought my ticket and need lots of help for my trip. I will be arriving in Marseille on Saturday morning at around 9:35 AM May 15,2010 I really don't want to stay in Marseille. I will leave France on Sunday May 23 and heading for Germany. For this leg of my journey I would like to see everything. :) I don't like big cities. I am looking for wonderful places to take pictures. In eight years of traveling I usually have very energetic plans. I want to take in as much as I can in 9 days. I have Rick Steve's Book on Provence and here are my must see areas to visit ending up in or near Nice. Will leave by train or plane to Germany(no airline ticket).
May rent a car not sure yet. I want to go to Luberon Region.

I would like to see Nice and take a bus to Canes and Monaco. I like flee markets, and outdoor stuff. I have been to a lot of museums in Europe so this time it is the scenery and flavor of the area. Hope I have given you enough info. Oh, I love B&B’s. I am a single person traveling alone and need some help with where to stay in a modest price range. To me modest is around 60.00 to 70.00 euro. I hope lots of people give me ideas. I will post another Cry for Help in the second part of my journey, Munich and Bavaria.
I thank one and all who will help with my trip 2010

I am travleing to France at the same time, but decided to stay in the Cotes du Rhone town Vaison la Romaine. We are taking the train to Avignon and getting a rental car from their. Everything looks fairly simple, and there are tons of B&B's. I used the following website to search for B&B's.

The one we picked was 90 euro but offered a great location. We are very excited to be there for their market day.

To travel around Provence we stay in Isle sur le Sorgue. It is very close to the Luberon Villages and the Cotes du Rhone villages. We stay in the Hotel Nevons which is cheap and nice . The annex rooms are the best.If you like outdoor brocante markets, Isle sur le Sorgue has one of the best in France. It is on Sundays. One of the reasons we stay at the Nevons is that they have a private car park and since people come from all over the world for the market there is a huge crowd and no place to park.We just walk to the market from the hotel. Isle has about 400 antique places as well as brocante. The are open Friday thru Sunday only usually, because the vendors have other shops elsewhere in France. There are other little B and B's outside of Isle, also.

If you like markets, you should try to visit Arles on a Saturday. It's incredible. I would recommend renting a car, find a home base, and take day trips. It's a photographers dream.

A side note - You may want to start by visiting Provence and save La Cote d'Azur for the end of your stay in France. I believe the Grand Prix of Monaco is taking place from the 13th through the 16th, so you may want to stay away from the area when you arrive on the 15th.
