Go one street beyond the Champs-Elysees in any direction and throw a rock. Seriously, you can't go wrong.

One of the best meals I have ever had in a bistro in Paris was a small bar/cafe on Rue de Presbourg between Ave Foch and Ave Victor Hugo, a stones throw from the Arc de Triumph...it was the luncheon special, a beautiful breast of duck cooked medium rare...served on a bed of mesclun...with a sweet reduction sauce (maybe pomegranate)...I can still taste it!
