I'm looking for a nice, inexpensive place to stay in Vienna. Ideally, would prefer a B&B or a hostel.
Thanks.

Pension Suzanne is very nice and central--just a few steps from the Opera.
I agree with JER. Pension Susanne. Good cold buffet breakfast, nice rooms, reasonable price, centrally located. Some have kitchenettes. Book early as they have lots of repeat customers - me being one of them. Mention Rick Steve's to get a discount. I paid 92 Euro for a double last October. Try to get a room facing the inner courtyard for a very quiet room. Website: www.pension-suzanne.at .
Hi,
My wife, my father and myself stayed at the Meininger Hostel this past September. It's very clean and reasonaly priced, Ikea style is what I call it, simple, but comfortable, and they do have ensuite rooms, which we had.
It's a tiny bit outside the city centre, but it's a 60 second walk to the closest Metro station, and only a 10 minute right right to the centre.
I highly recommend this as budget accomodations.
Pension Suzanne is great and the location can't be beat...but be aware it's in a sterile building and not as cute as the website looks.
Thanks for all the great suggestions! I agree that Pension Suzanne is a fabulous location right next to the opera. I had called and can't get the room I want for less then $150, so I've decided to stay at a place a few blocks away called Hotel Kugel. It's in Steve's guidebook and looks like a really great place. I will post my thoughts on it when I come back.
Thanks again,
Tim
