We have an early Friday flight through Air France at 8:00 AM. I am told we should be there 2 hours ahead of time.
Any suggestions on a good area to stay the night before so that it is not too long of a journey to CDG? We would like to still be able to stay in an area in Paris that would allow us to enjoy our last night there.
Also, suggestions on best way to get to CDG that early in the morning?

Hi Nina,
The hotels near CDG are uninteresting but plentiful. If you want to stay in Paris, I would choose a hotel near a stop for the RER B line; the RER starts running to CDG by 5:00 am, so you could take the train to the airport in time to arrive by 6 am.
There is a Sheraton directly connected to the airport if you would like to roll out of bed and out the door to your gate :-)
We stayed at the Hilton there at the airport. Convenient and great buffet breakfast!
A couple of times we have stayed in the Montmartre area of Paris which allows us a good last evening in Paris while avoiding going through most of the Paris traffice on the way to CDG.
