I know little about Schweinfurt and am trying to get educated fast as i will be working on the army base there for two weeks as a therapist with children.
I am looking for any tips about this part of Germany, places to stay in Wurzburg, etc as I will have a rental car I believe. Have you lived in this part of Germany in the winter? Any advice? I am going from Dec 6-Feb 4.

Dec 6-Feb 4 sounds more like 2 months than 2 weeks. If you are working on an army base I assume you will be living there as well and Wuerzburg is only a side trip. It's less than 30 miles from Schweinfurt to Wuerzburg. Sounds like you can do it as a day trip.

The weather is pretty mild right now - no snow yet, the coldest it's gotten at night has been in the high 20s but it largely doesn't get below the 30s. This could change if there's a cold front but anyway, if you're from Denver it shouldn't seem too bad to you. Wurzburg seems to be a lovely city (I haven't visited, just trained past it!) and Frankfurt isn't too far from you either. You have a lot of options for day trips by car or train, including some Romantic Road cities.

When you get there, just ask people/co-workers where to go, they'll have great suggestions. For the weather, compared to Denver, it'll be mild.
