We will be visiting Cannes as tourists (non-attendees) during the Film Festival and are looking for advice about this event!

Say hi to Paris Hilton for me:) I visited the city during the festival many years ago...best people watching in the world. Lots of celebrities, lot of tourists waiting for something to happen, but lots of fun. As the festival is a trade show it's not possible for the public to attend screenings, but there is a big screen on the beach, and selected films are shown to the public in the evening free of charge.

I'll look for the public screen! I'm thinking we just show up and grab a caffe and if we see someone, great, if not it is still the Cote D'Azur!
