going Tapas if you don't drink???

Greetings... I drink alcohol moderately, but my boyfriend does not drink at all. Will we still be able to tapas hop? Any other awkwardness in cafes and bars that I should anticipate?

Of course you can tapas hop -- it's food that you pay for. They don't care what, or if, you drink in addition. Order a soft drink or a fruit drink or coffee.

My wife and I do not drink alcohol but did the tapas hop regularly during a month in Spain and Portugal (?) due to the fact that we go to bed by 9PM when the restaurants are just opening for dinner. We never felt "funny" sitting there eating while others were drinking.

In Germany a coke is more $ then many local wines. So unless you want tap water for free doubt any one will care what you drink

Lots of locals drink lots of things other than alcohol. They have a huge array of beverages. If you have not been before, and are thinking tapas "bar" you will find it not like our version of a bar...easy going, homey places with lots of alcohol free choices. Ditto for most places we have visited in Europe. Have fun!
