My husband and I are planning a trip to Paris in February. I would love to see Giverny. Would it be a total waste of time? I know the gardens won't be in bloom and most things will be dormant, but is the rest worth the visit.
I was there in mid-October and they were closing for the season on 10/31. I am pretty sure it will still be closed in February. Too bad, because even so late in the season they were beautiful.
I believe Monet's house and garden open for the season on April 1.
Thanks for the help. It never occurred to me that the house would be closed for the season. But as Steve says - it is just an excuse to go back.
Not only is the house and the gardens closed for the winter, but the whole village closes down... No restaurants, b&bs, or galleries are open. It becomes a quiet suburb of Vernon.
