I've been trying to reserve a Gite in Provence through the gites de france website. When it says "reserve online" I can get to and fill out step one. I then clicked the "validate your choice" box but it just brings me round in circles. I cannot seem to get to step two. Does anyone have any advice on how the site works or what I should do next? Thanks very much for any suggestions you might have.

Just a guess, but perhaps you selected dates that were unavailable?

Thanks, Tom. That occurred to me, too. My selected week was in September. So then I tried other weeks in various months with the same results. it also occurred to me that perhaps proprietors don't accept bookings this far in advance. I have tried e-mailing the gites de france office for the area. Twice I got no response. Once I got a response offering information that I had already read on the website, but not addressing my question as to how I get to "step two". I'm pretty much out of loss.

Kay, I just went to the site and chose a gite at random, putting dates for September in the box and had no problem getting to step 2. I can think of two possible snags in the system: first, the rental weeks always begin and end on Saturdays, and I was on the French site, not the English one. Send a pm if you want me to try more.
