Getting to Dordogne

We are vacationing for a week in Dordogne. Is it better to fly into Paris or Barcelona? On a map it looks as if Barcelona is closer.

We rented a villa one year for a month in the Dordogne (we lived in Britain at the time) Family members joined us during our stay for short breaks and, with one exception, they all flew to Barcelona (from UK) We picked them up from the airport (about 3 hours drive) whilst those who flew to Paris had a much longer train journey. So in short, yes barcelona is quicker if you are going to hire a car. I'm afraid I can't tell you how long it would take if you were to use public transport.

International flights can connect into Toulouse... much easier & closer IMO.

Toulose is a good suggestion, or even Bordeaux.

I would say Barcelona.
We live in Montreal, Canada and are taking a direct flight to Bordeaux, even closer.

Look carefully into the rental car options for either and AVOID a one-way drop-off if you pick up a car in Barcelona for France.
