hello rick.
I don't have a working visa for Europe.im an austrailan travelling into spain to study a short course there for the super yatchs to line up a job there. but you don't need a working visa for the yatchs because they work in international waters. I don't have flight out of Europe I was wondering if I will be able to get through immigration. should I bother mentioning that or should I just say im here for a few month holiday but im just gonna organise a flight out when im there.
Think you should be on a vacation...Your departure need not be confirmed as far as I know...you can depart via air, train, bus, auto, whatever..your limit would likely be 90 days I think as a basis rule.
I am not sure who your post is directed to "hello rick" but if it is directed to Rick Steves, he does not run this web site although his company certainly sponsors it. This site is "staffed" by folks who volunteer their time to try to answer the questions posed by travelers like you. Even some of us who have been reading this site for years still post questions every now and then. The answers you might receive on this web site are those of folks who supposedly have experienced the situations related to your questions or have direct knowledge of such entanglements. Happy travels.
'you don't need a working visa for the yatchs because they work in international waters.' - So they do not touch land at all!? If you are certain, I would not know. What is a 'few month'? Spain is a signatory to the Schengen agreement. As an Australian passport holder you are allowed to stay as a tourist for 90 days within 180 days in the Schengen area. You do not need to do or say anything. Working without a visa or overstaying and discovery on exit, most especially if it appears you are deliberately flouting the rules, will incur penalties.
