We need to get from Nice to Bergamo, Italy, via Milan by train in one day. We are booked for two nights in Bergamo's Citta Alta before heading to Venice. Not sure at this time as to the quickest route? Or the best route? We'd like to get to Bergamo late afternoon or early evening at the latest. Thoughts, suggestions,things to consider as we head south from Toulouse into Italy via Nice?

Stu, this is a 6.0hr-7.0hr. train journey. All runs require a train change at Milan. Some runs require more train changes at other locations. You can easily do this is well under one day.

Thanks for the input. Valuable information that I will be using right away as we leave by train this morning and in just six days will be departing Nice for Bergamo.
