Getting from CDG to Bayeux?

I will be flying into Paris on March 25 and will be going straight from CDG to Bayeux. If anyone has done this, how easy of a trip is this?

Trains from Paris to Bayeux depart from Gare Saint-Lazare. Depending upon your departure time you may need to change trains in Caen.

Take the RER B from CDG to Gare du Nord. Walk through the connecting tunnels to the Magenta RER station. Take the RER E to Haussmann--Saint-Lazare. Walk to Gare Saint-Lazare. Your total transfer time will be under an hour. The fare is €8.50. For a zoomable map of the RER and Metro system, go here.

We took the train from Paris to Caen and rented a car there -- drove to Bayeux and other areas of France on that trip.

From CDG to Bayeaux is an easy three hour drive, Make it four and a half and stop in Rouen for lunch and a look around.

Have no idea what the train time is, but if you've got to make changes it's bound to be close to a wash.

We drove it a few years ago and are going to be back about the same time you will be there. It is a very easy drive from Paris. Roads are in good condition and well marked. We always print directions from www.viamichelin.com and never have a problem!

We rented a car at CDG and drove. Our car was equipped with a gps, and we bypassed most of Paris. A very easy drive. When we were leaving Bayeaux, we drove out to Mont Ste Michelle, and Dinan, and then returned to CDG. A great trip - only wish we had taken a couple of more days. Don't forget to take one of the tours at Bayeux. We used Battlebus, which was excellent, but there are others.
