Germany places to stay

Hello,
Looking for places to stay 2 nights in Munich, 3 nights in Oberammergau, and 3 nights in Salzburg in May. We are a family of 5 ages 18 to 81, an active 81 but would prefer public closer to hotels for convenience. We are used to staying in 3 star B&Bs. We visited these areas 15 years ago so are familiar with accommodations.

I've stayed here in Oberammergau. Not a star rated property but nice anyway and economical. It's close to the Bahnhof and to town. The owner's English is good.

We have stayed at the Weisse Taube and the Bergland hotels in Salzburg. Bergland is a better bargain and in some ways our preferred choice; but, the Weisse Taube is definitely closer to the principal sights. For a couple years, we have seen recommendations for the Weiss Taube and gave it a try last Advent Season. It is an attractive hotel with a very good breakfast and a helpful staff. It is located right behind the cathedral, you can look straight up at the castle.
