We will be in Germany the week after New Year and I want to see this theater near Augsburg. When I search for information, I can get the performance schedule, but no info in English about just visiting the theater.

I'm not sure I understand the question. You don't give specifics about what info you need. How to get there? There are maps on their website, http://parktheater.de. In addition they have a page on facebook, facebook.com/kurhaustheate. The page, http://parktheater.de/besichtigung, gives information on visiting hours, Besichtigungzeiten, which, depending on events ( soweit dies Veranstaltungen zulassen), are 9 AM to 6 PM daily. There is a link on the page to a pdf file with actual visiting hours at hier.

The problem is I don't understand German and the website is all in German. I did find it on a map - it is just off our route from Rothenburg to Garmisch - but I couldn't determine if the theater was open to the public outside of performances. You say it is open 9-6 daily, so maybe that answers my question. I think that we will just 'play it by ear' when we are driving by. It is so close to our route it won't take much time to make a quick stop. Thank you for taking the time to post an answer.

That's daily 9 to 6, events permitting. That pdf file accessible by clicking on "here" gives the actual schedule by day for November, which takes into account any events that that would interfere with open visiting. I assume in December it will give the December schedule, etc.
