I will be leaving Nice on May 23rd by plane to Munich.
Arrival in Munich at 4:15 PM baring any volcano eruptions.
I have a place to stay for Sunday night and Monday night.
Then what to do. I would like to take a train to Lindau on Lake Constance and spend Tuesday night there. What to do from there? I need to be in Frankfort on Sunday night. I mainly want to focus on nature photography. All advise will be much appreciated.

If you need to be in Frankfort, the capital of Kentucky on Sunday night, you don't have much time. If you meant FrankfUrt, that would work better.
There are some nice Alpine places between Munich and Lindau (Illertal, Oberstdorf, Kleinwalsertal, Oberstaufen) in you can put off Lindau for a few days. After Lindau, I might suggest Friedrichshafen. Some us more techie types enjoy the Zeppelin museum there.
North of Friedrichshafen, the town of Sigmaringen has a lovely old castle. You can go up the Danube valley from Sigmaringen, or along the north shore of the lake from Friedrichshafen, to Donaueschingen, then take the train to Offenburg via Triberg and the Schwarzwaldbahn. You might also go from Hausach, at the No. end of the Schwarzwaldbahn to Freudenstadt, called the capital of the northern Black Forest. From Freudenstadt go down the Nagold to Calw, the birthplace of Hermann (Steppenwolf) Hesse.
Or from Sigmaringen, go north through the Schwäbischer Jura past Hechingen (Hohenzollern Castle) to the old university town of Tübingen, just south of Stuttgart.
