Trip in late Oct. This is off the usually tourist itinerary. Little info out there. Near Eberswalde to visit smaller towns--Friedrichswalde, Kurtschlag and Marienwerder. Anyone aware of public transportation in this area? Don't want to rent a car.

Hi, I assume you are coming from Berlin to these towns in Brandenburg. You can reach them by the Regional Bahn (regional trains) from Berlin Hbf, or S-Bahn and bus...any combination of the three. I've been to other small towns/villages in the Brandenburg area, (not these you listed, still very interesting and captivating to see, landscape, structures, etc.

Hi, I went through this area of Brandenburg in the summer of 2003 from Berlin to Angermünde, where I had to change to get to Szczecin Glowny (Stettin Hbf.) That ride to Angermünde included stopping at Eberswalde Hbf., where you have to connect by bus and/or regional train to Marienwerder and Friedrichswalde.
