Lisa, I have to agree with the others. IMO your Itinerary is far too busy for the time you have available. While it may be feasible to reach all those locations in 10 days, you'll probably find the trip is extremely rushed and you have virtually no time to see much or enjoy each stop.

That's far too aggressive for 10 days. Remember that if your friends haven't been to those locales, you'll need to see sights that you've seen already, just so they can see them. For 10 days, I would recommend seeing Munich, Ludwig's castles, and Venice. To include much more would just be running yourselves ragged. If you feel that is not enough, you can always visit Salzburg as a day trip from Munich. You can also day-trip to the mainland area from Venice. That will easily soak up 10 days.

Agree with the others.
That is a lot of area to cover in 10 days or less. You will spend the majority of the time in the car.

Sounds agressive to me also and I am usually pretty agressive when I go. I think the suggestion to do Munich, the castles and Venice sounds ok. Leaving Venice you may have time to drive the Great Dolomite Road and work your way back to Munich but if you have never driven through the Dolomites you may well be smitten by its stunning beauty and then you would have wished for more time allowed for them. May is a good time for enjoying the scenery in the Dolomites as it is a slow time and rooms are readily available and discounted. You would have no problem finding a room on the spur of the moment in the Dolomites in May. Many places are closed during that time but we were there in May and really enjoyed it. Since you are going to drive a lot be sure to take a GPS with you. Would never go again without mine.

I agree with Rick. Just go to Munich, Neuschvonstein (sleep at Fussen two nights), Venice, Verona.
