I am travelling to Germany in the fall I will be staying in heidelberg and would like to see my old stomping grounds in Zweibrucken not sure how I could get there is there a train I have no wheels while I am over there. Thanking you all in advance

Looks like there are lots of connections from Heidelberg to Zweibrücken. You can find them on the German Rail (Bahn) website. Some of the fastest connections use a bus from Homburg, but there are some all rail connections too. You can isolate the all rail connections by using the "Advance selection of means of transport" link and unchecking buses.
