As you're all aware of Germany celebrates her 20th reunification anniversary on October 3rd. Many companies run specials on this occassion, e.g. DB German Rail. You can only purchase this ticket on October 2nd and 3rd (CEDT), online at bahn.de if you wish: Fare €20 one-way in 2nd class from anywhere to anywhere within Germany (incl. ICE). Travel dates are Oct. 3rd to Oct. 23rd.

How can it possibly be 20 years since reunification; I can remember the excitement as if it were yesterday. Has that much time really gone by?

Got up this morning and booked a round-trip ticket from Frankfurt to Berlin for a whole 40 euro. Yippee!!
