Have been wanting to purchase this years edition, but it still isn't available in the stores here. Even my favorite book store looked it up and said it isn't available for sale in Germany. Do any of you have it yet?

I just ordered it on Amazon. Find something else you need to get up to $25, and it's shipped free.

Amazon.com has it for $16. Add $10-12 for shipping (18-32 days) and it's yours. That's just about list price. Of course, you will probably have to pay VAT in Germany.

Well, the truth is that I was trying to avoid buying a copy of it as I have the last 3 years here at home, and shelling out another 20 euro for the 2012 copy just when I want to check a few things, seems a bit pricey.

Thanks Judy, but I live in Germany, and Amazon.com is not going to ship me anything for free, even if I do order over $25.00. The book is not available on Amazon.de yet either. Like I said in my 2nd post, I really don't want the book, just looking for someone who has one already, to send me a scan of a couple of pages. Not wanting to shell out 20 euro to buy one more copy of a RS Germany book.

Thanks Darren. Have already been contacted by PM from another poster who is going to scan a couple of pages for me and then email them to me. I still find it odd that it takes so long to get this book out in Germany. Even Amazon.de doesn't have it available. Amazon.uk has it for 14.44 GBP plus shipping, so not sure why Germany doesn't have it.

Jo, It's good to hear that someone is going to scan the pages that you need. The HelpLine is such a great "community". I checked amazon.de and they seem to have the Rick Steves E-books (Kindle format), but only the 2011 editions. The 2012 versions should be available soon (in case you decide that you do want the full book). Cheers!
