We will be picking up our car in Nice and would like to drop it on the French side of the GVA airport. I don't want the drop off fee. We will be staying in Aix-les-Bains for 3 nights prior to that..would it be better to drop the car in Annecy? Does anyone have experience with getting to the airport from Aix-les-bains? Thank you!

Two years ago we flew into Geneva. We went to the French side of the airport to rent our car because we, like you, wanted to return our car in Northern France to avoid the out-of-country drop off fees. It worked! I don't have the experience of driving from Aix-les-bains to the airport. However, I do remember the Geneva airport being fairly easy to handle. Have fun.
